In chipper machines input materials cut into small pieces. The output chip size depend on shape of input material size , diameter and hardness. For example if you give coconut leaf with 6 inches diameter means each and every cut pieces comes out with 16 mm thick and 16mm to 50mm broken chips.. Because this type of machines only chip the materials into small pieces. Normally chipper has 2 to 4 cutting blades and 1 stationary blade.The output capacity is very high when compare to shredders. Excellent suitable for organic farming and vermi composting.
Shredder machines having multiple shredding blades which are act as a hammers to beat and shred the materials into very small particles from 5 to 10 mm in size. For this maximum shredding force 12 to 36 shredding beaters fixed on single shaft and joined with dynamically balanced rotor. So you can get very small fine chips than chipper machines. This will support to speed up the compost making process. Also these type of machine is suitable for briquette biofuel manufacturing factories.
